Granite, natural strength and character
Millions of years in the making, no two slabs alike. Granite brings depth, pattern and natural toughness that engineered materials can only imitate: a worktop with genuine character.

Formed under immense heat and pressure, granite is exceptionally resistant to heat, scratching and everyday wear; with periodic sealing it will serve for decades. Polished, honed or leathered, the same stone can take on strikingly different personalities. And because every slab is unique, we invite clients to view their actual stone before cutting, so the veining and movement sit exactly where they’ll look best.
Our approach
From slab selection to installation, everything happens with our own team. We position the natural veining where it works hardest for your space, template and fabricate precisely, then hand over with practical advice on sealing and care, so the stone stays beautiful long after fitting day.

Extremely. Granite is one of the hardest natural worktop materials: highly resistant to scratches and heat, and with sensible care a granite worktop will comfortably outlast the kitchen around it.
Yes, periodically. Granite is a natural stone with slight porosity, so a sealant protects it against staining. How often depends on the stone and how hard it works. A quick test is whether water still beads on the surface.
Granite tolerates heat far better than most surfaces, but we still recommend trivets. Sudden extreme temperature changes can stress any natural stone, and the habit costs nothing.
No two granite slabs are identical. That's the appeal. For exactly this reason we encourage clients to view their actual slab before fabrication, so you know precisely what's going into your kitchen.
Polished is the classic high-gloss look; honed gives a soft matt surface; leathered adds a gently textured feel. Each changes the character of the same stone quite dramatically. We can show you examples of all three.
Sealed granite resists most everyday spills, but oils and strongly coloured liquids shouldn't be left sitting. Wipe spills promptly and reseal periodically and staining is rarely an issue.
Often, yes. Small chips can usually be filled and blended, particularly on edges. Send us a photo and we'll tell you honestly what result to expect.
Granite is heavy, and that's part of our job: we check that units are suitable and properly supported before templating, and advise on any strengthening needed before installation day.
A soft cloth and a pH-neutral cleaner or mild soapy water. Avoid acidic or abrasive products: vinegar, bleach and scouring creams degrade the sealant and can dull the polish.
Absolutely: bathroom vanities, hearths and fireplace surrounds, windowsills and hardwearing commercial counters. If you have something unusual in mind, ask; we like the interesting jobs.
