Engineered from natural quartz crystals bound with resin, quartz slabs are strong, non-porous and wonderfully predictable: no sealing, uniform pattern, and real resistance to wine, oil, coffee and the other hazards of a lived-in kitchen. The range runs from pure whites and concrete effects to convincing marble looks, suiting classic and contemporary schemes alike.

Around ninety percent natural quartz crystal blended with resins and pigments, pressed into slabs. You get the look and feel of stone with more consistency and less upkeep than the natural material.

Choose granite for one-of-a-kind natural pattern; choose quartz for uniform colour, zero sealing and maximum stain resistance. We stock samples of both and will talk you through the trade-offs honestly.

No, quartz is non-porous, so it never needs sealing. That's one of its biggest practical advantages over natural stone.

Up to a point. The resin content means very hot pans can mark or discolour the surface, so always use a trivet. Everyday warmth is no problem at all.

Excellent. Wine, coffee, oil and most everyday spills wipe away without a trace if dealt with reasonably promptly, a big part of why quartz is the default choice for busy family kitchens.

Yes, engineered slabs are uniform, so what you see in the sample is what you get across the whole surface, and joints between sections blend far less noticeably than in natural stone.

Very successfully: vanity tops, shower surrounds and splashbacks all suit quartz well. Its non-porous surface handles moisture and cosmetics without fuss.

Chips and small areas of damage can often be filled and polished. It depends on the damage and the colour, so send us a photo and we'll give you a straight answer on the likely result.

Mild detergent, warm water, soft cloth. That's it. Avoid abrasive pads and harsh chemicals, which can dull the finish over time.

We plan joints at the templating stage, keeping them to a minimum and positioning them where they're least visible, usually away from sightlines and high-use areas.
