Budget and speed, mainly. Laminate delivers excellent everyday performance at a fraction of the cost, it's lighter, and turnaround is quick. For rental properties, utility rooms and cost-conscious projects it's often the smart choice.
An enormous range: convincing timber and stone effects, plain colours and contemporary textures. If you've seen a look you like, there's a good chance a laminate décor gets close to it.
Modern laminates are impressively tough against everyday wear, scratching and staining. Their main sensitivities are prolonged standing water at joints and direct heat, both easy to manage with sensible habits.
No, always use a trivet. Direct heat is the quickest way to damage a laminate surface, and unlike solid surface it can't be sanded back.
Wipe up standing water rather than letting it sit against joints and cut-outs. Moisture reaching the core is laminate's main enemy. Our fabrication seals the vulnerable spots properly from day one.
Honestly, options are limited. Small chips can sometimes be filled, but laminate can't be refinished the way solid surface can. Where repair isn't sensible we'll say so and quote a replacement.
Yes, for retail counters, office kitchens and fit-outs where budget and programme matter, laminate is a workhorse. We fit it with the same care as any premium material.

Warm soapy water or a standard kitchen cleaner and a soft cloth. Skip abrasive pads and creams: they'll dull the decorative surface over time.
